will this external firewire case work for me?

i got a dell inspiron 8200 laptop. i have 2-3 harddrives i would like to put in firewire enclosures and chain them up. will this multiple drive firewire enclosure do the job for me?

it seems like it should to me
if you have firewire it would probably just show up as another drive in my computer

what im not sure about is if you have to have 1 firewire port for each hd or not....so if you want 3 hds chained up you might need 3 firewire ports, but im not sure about it so dont quote me on that
