I have a Intel SE440BX board that I want to put a 850 CPU in. I have looked on Intel's site and they said that this is the maximum CPU that it can handle. I was wanting to know if the 850MHz Bus Coppermine 100 MHz FCPGA Socket 370, 256K -100bus OEM will work? I don't know a whole lot about motherboard and CPUs so what type of Socket is my motherboard and what type of CPU should I get?

Thanks alot for the help.

It should be fine, you may need a Socket370 to Slot1 converter though.
You said your CPU is FCPGA Socket370, and if I recall correctly Intel's SE440BX board is a Slot1, so ask your local computer stor for a Coppermine compatible socket/slot converter

ABit, Asus, MSi, IWill all make such things...there are lots out there.
