My computer got totalled. Looking to buy a cheap 400-450 dollar computer. Came across this, curious as to if it will run World of Warcraft fairly well.

obviously you have to get the mouse, keyboard, monitor AND video card. you can get a 6600GT for around $120, or even a 7600GS/GST/GT for a bit more...if that computer has pci-e. it can definitely handle it cpu wise...but maybe you should also upgrade the ram to 1GB.

I run a similar setup, old a64 2800+ with a 9700pro and it's fine as long as I don't crank the resolution up. You will want 1gb ram min to play WoW or you will lag to death in the major cities. 6600GT or better will run the game decently ( or an ati equivalent)

Can't find any info on that from the site or the model number on google, but it looks very similar to this

So it might, but call them to be sure.

You'll want at least a 9600 or similar. If you have PCI-e on that, get a 7600GT. It will play the game perfectly, even at high resolutions with all eye-candy on.

You also want at least one gig of RAM. WoW is playable with 512, but major cities, flight paths and the battlegrounds become a slide show with anything less than 1 Gig.

May not be in the OP's budget if a copy of XP is needed etc

I was seriously like "What? What's a video card?" at one point. Everyone learns, no one is born with it. I've built 2 computers, it's much easier than you think.

Computerlearner,

eMachines Desktop and Monitor. A64 3500+ and 17" CRT $399 AR at CompUSA this week.

Add an additional 512 RAM for $29.99 AR.

Total = $429 AR, then you just have to throw in a budget PCI-E vid card. Do not get this from a retail store. One suggestion:

MSI Radeon X800 $88.99 @ newegg

Sorry if that seemed like a CompUSA ad, but for your budget this is really the best way to go. I did this last year with an A64 3200+ emachines, and i put an x700pro in it, still using it for WoW today.
