That Kodak uses Compact Flash Type I. The one you refer to is a Type II. Why not ask Kodak is it will work?

corky-g, what makes you say that this is a type II card? Transcends website does not specify and it looks like a type I card from a cursory glance. If this is the case, then the Kodak DC-4800 should not have a problem reading it(Generally larger CF cards will work with older cameras fine with the only common stipulation being that you can't go over 1GB due to File System limitations).

The 45X. The difference between Type I and II is not physical but electronic. But, it is probably OK. Most Type IIs include a tiny HDD such as the Microdrive. But the form factor of the device is the same.

Use the table here: C/F

Corky you have it backwards. They are identical electronically, but the type II is twice the thickness. The speed of the card does not automatically mean that it is type II as both form factors use the same interface. I am pretty sure this is a type 1 card as type II cards are usually larger capacity(the extra size means that it would not be cost effective to fab a smaller capacity card) and the speed rating of the card indicates that it is fairly new. Type II cards aren't all that common as they are usually only used for what is currently the higher capacities of CF (which is 2GB plus about now) due to their higher production costs. Anyway, it OUGHT to work with the kodak, but sending them an email first would be wise.
