Will this be a quiet system?

The intent is to overclock the xp1600..

So I plan to get an Antec 1040B, fit it with a Soyo Dragon+ and a XP 1600.

To cool the CPU, I plan to get the Alpha 8045. SVC sells one with a YS-tech fan, one of them pumping 48.5CFM.

For the Antec case, it comes installed with 2 80mm fans in the rear (anyone knows what?), and I plan to fit in additional fans in the front.. maybe the same ys-tech fan from SVC. The YS-tech fans are rated at 37 db.

I would have loved to pick up the an Enermax PSU at 350W, especially as it has 2 BB fans, and people say they are very quiet... how quiet is the Antec 400W psu?

So with theoretically 6 fans, how noisy is this going to be? Will the sound waves add up and turn up as 80db noise?

Any suggestions on acoustic foam materials?

won't the acoustic foam help?

Anyone know how the ys-tech fans rate in noise v/s the sunon 80mm.. don't give me db ratings.. what's your impression if you've used both fans..

Anyone knows what fans Antec installs?

Antec's 400W PS is not quiet... of course quiet is relative... I'd say for the case fans, if you want quiet the loudest fanyou should use would be in the 25-30dbA range... I have the Antec 1200 series (very similar to yours) with the Enermax 430W PS (the quiet one with the variable speed fan) and 5 Panaflo L1A (21dbA eeach) case fans and Alpha 8045 with two fans, Delta 68cfm/48dbA on the cooler and Panaflo H1A 40cfm/32dbA on top. The Delta only comes on if CPU temp reaches 45C (Full load/Gaming), so the rest of the time I'm mostly hearing the HD's (3 of them). Currently at idle I'm around 39C.

I have the 1040 as well. It is a big case and you need all those fans to move enough air through all that interior volume if you are worried about great cooling. With all those fans, this is just not a quiet case. I think it is bearable if you don't install a delta, but I certainly wouldn't call it quiet. If cooling is important, this case is awesome. If quiet is your main concern, you might think of looking elsewhere. Quiet and cool are not easily achieved simultaneously.
