Will this be a good gamin pc build?

So im buying parts for a new gamin pc to play games with in 2013

i have hp monitor 1440x900 hpw1707
i have 2 sata harddrives 360gb each
i have a lightscribe dvd multi recorder r dl rw dvd plus r dl compact disc rewritable
windows xp home - will these parts be compatible with the new pc i want to buy?



power supply- corsair enthusiast 850 watt
motherboard-asrock lga1155 ddr sata 3 usb3.0 quad crossfire x and quad sli a gbe atx motherboard z77 extreme 4
processor- 15-3570k 3.4ghz
video card- gtx660 gddr5 superclocked 2gb
cpu cooler- 212 evo 120mm fan
ram- corsair 2x4 8gb
What case do i need? i need a case that will keep my pc cool do i need a full tower or a mid case or what? and i also have a corsair 600w power supply do i really need 850 watts? can i run games on max with this stuff?

You really don't need that 850 watt Corsair at all. Heck, even a GTX 680 system can get by on a quality 500 watts(key word is quality). Your current Corsair should be plenty, since Corsairs do deliver their stated wattage.

I would buy a new monitor if I were you, you can get a much nicer one than that for very little money these days. I didn't think it would be hugely noticeable, but my monitor upgrade quickly became my favorite purchase last time I put together a pc.

You really need to upgrade to Windows 7. With XP you're going to be limited to DX9 games only, and some games like Battlefield 3 don't even support a DX9 mode so you can't play them at all.
