Hi All!!

I want to setup my home Theatre: (3rd since 1992)

* Media Room is 40 x 20 with 24 foot cathedral cielings
* Listening area for movies is 18 x 12
* already have Panasonic 3d 50in Plasma ST50

Budget = Best Bang for Buck/ "The Bill Man Cometh"+as little as possible

My picks so far:

Onkyo TX-NR609 7.2 Channel Network THX Certified A/V Receiver

Speakers:

** Polk Audio Monitor60 Series II Floorstanding Loudspeaker (Black) Each
** Polk Audio CS1 Series II Center Channel Speaker
** Polk Audio PSW Series PSW10 Black 10-inch Powered Subwoofer Each
** Polk Audio PSW505 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer --For Lower Lows(under 35HZ)
** Have some older Polks for Rear(R15's)

*******Most important now is getting right receiver(Networked important)
*******And good speakers(Front, Center and sub Matched Well)
*******Best Bang for the Least $$

Here are pics of Room--Will have to Rearrange-Advice greatly Appreciated:
Thanks in Advance!!

Polk subs in general are pretty poor, and that little 10" one is going to be woefully underpowered in that big of a room with those cathedral ceilings.

For something that big, if you have any minuscule amount of DIY ability, I'd build a big ass table tuba sub or sono sub for $500 and call it a day.

Thanks for the Response!

I believe I'll start out with the Polk 10' sub(for the High Lows 35-200 HZ)
and add the Polk Audio PSW505 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer for the below 35hz at a later Date. The NR 609 can run 2.

Now if someone would Kindly help me Permenantly Declutterize my Home of Electronic Mumbo-Jumbo--there would be a Handsome reward available!! (smile) You should have seen it before I spent 6 weeks cleaning!!

Thanks for responses -Keep the coming!

Yup, Polk matched up with onkoyo = good match. Onkoyo is a warm amp and to me the polk or you might want to look at infinity tweeters (silk dome) do a pretty good job if your looking for that laid back sound. I always preferred it over the metallic or horn tweeters ...

Thanks so much for Responses!!!

This is what I ordered:

This is what I came up with:

* Onkyo TX-NR609 7.2 Channel Network THX Certified A/V Receiver $369. Amazon

* Polk Audio Monitor60 Series II Floorstanding Loudspeaker (Black) Each $99. x 2= 198. Egg

* Polk Audio CS1 Series II Center Channel Speaker $59. the Egg

* Polk Audio PSW10 10-Inch Monitor Series Powered Subwoofer $89. Amazon

* Future Sub #2--Polk Audio PSW505 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer $169. Amazon
