Will these sticks of RAM work together?

I got one stick of this and i want to get another, will two 512 sticks of it work together? I currently have Corsair XMS ram, i put the other 512 MB stick of the value ram in with it and they didn't work together, so i want to get rid of my XMS and have 1gb of corsair value select

Are you talking about a major problem like your computer not posting, or are you talking about working in dual channel mode?

I dunno, I'm just trying to find out if 2 sticks of 512MB PC3200 Corsair Value Ram will work together. I've heard of dual channel before, not sure quite what it is though. Would that work as well?

I don't like this Corsair XMS i have anyways, so i wouldn't mind ditching it.

2 sticks of corsair value ram should work fine together... but a stick of value ram and your XMS should work together too.

Why don't you like your XMS?

From everywhere else i've heard, XMS and Value ram won't work together.

Well, i don't know if it's the ram's fault, but my computer often freezes when loading things and it usually quite slow to load stuff. Plus it was set at the wrong speeds when i first got it, and now that i've "overclocked" it to normal speeds, it's less stable.

Will two 512 MB sticks of value select ram work in dual channel? Is it even possible on my motherboard?

Mixing and matching memory has been known to affect dual channel performance but I see no reason why 2 pc3200 chips of any brand couldn't be used together if dual channel isn't an issue.

That's what i thought, but I guess with my Mobo, or with an A64 system or something, you can't mix and match memory of any kind. Wish someone told me before i ordered the last one 😛 - I'm going to order another value select now though, i think it might work actually.
