Will these fan filters work well?

I think SVC.com or jab-tech.com has some better ones as well as some almost identical ones. Depending on the level of dust in your location, those metal mesh grills can plug up quickly. I like the two-piece plastic filter holders that take a piece of foam air conditioner filter. Those work very well for me.

Those ones you listed arnt the ones you want. The holes are to big, it wouldnt filter all that well. The ones you want are one of these. Many stores carry each, I just linked svc because they are usually the cheapst.

SVC doesnt list the name of these, but they are FilterRight brand.

These are the ones I use, which have worked great for me. They are metal mesh.

Ive never tired these but, they are the cheapest, I think they would work pretty well also, but it seems like they would obstruct air flow the most(being 3 peices and everything).

You might check out frozencpu.com. THey have a big assortment of fan filters as well.

They have 80mm in all 3 as well. Just search the site.

EDIT: actually if you 80mm I have 3 black metal mesh ones, that I just linked to for sale. Let me know. Ill sell them for $3 shipped each. Or like $8 for all 3 or something. I dunno. lmk.

Hmm, that's a good deal but I actually need 5 of them :(

I have 4 fans that intake air in front of the case and 1 fan that intakes air on the side of the case.

2 fans on the back and 1 fan on the top outakes air but I don't think I need a filter for air outtake.. or do I?

its always a compromise. slight llimiting fo airflow..slight decrease in dust. smaller powder dust still gets in of course.

It's a generic case with 4 fan slots in the front, 1 fan slot in the side, 2 fan slots in the back, and 1 fan slot in the top.

I filled all the slots up.

The front and the side intakes air. (5 fans total) <- Need filter for these
The back and the top outtakes air. (3 fans total)

just know you gotta dust your computer with comrpessed air regardless. no perfect solution. you can reduce source with room air filter but thats costly

Various opinions here -- including mine.

Someone already mentioned "FilterRight:"

FilterRight at FrozenCPU

I use these. For better airflow, the model you linked would be my preference -- the FilterRights have a mesh that is considerably finer. For better "filtering," go for the FilterRights.

I apply a vacuum-cleaner nozzle to my filters on a monthly basis. If I don't, the case interior temperatures tell me to.

And even with the finer mesh, you'll have to clean a finer dust out of your case, off your hard disks and the circuit-cards. So budget some dough for the cans of compressed air.
