Will there ever be another car as great as the McLaren F1?

I still see the McLaren F1 as being the ultimate achievement in modern road car technology as far as performance/aerodynamics/looks/handling. It seems as though many other cars try to match it but are just too two heavy (Enzo, Carrera GT) or just plain imitators (Saleen S7).

Hold up a  for Gordon Murray's love child :D

Not a car fan are you?

One of the fastest (if not the fastest ever) cars produced.

How is the leg room in the back seat? How many have 100k miles and are still going strong?

Yeah, a fan of reasonable vehicles. Vehicles I could, someday, actually have a snowball's chance in HELL of even sitting in.

Nope. At least not that I've seen. The Enzo is fast, but not quite as fast as the F1.

Considering the rear seats are to the sides of the single, centered driver seat, they have excellent leg room ;)

How realistic is owning a car like this? seriously. I know it must be a nice toy, but the neighbor just drives his around town on occassion. It's not like he can take it and open it up on the freeway, CHP would love that.

I guess you could take it to a track, or something. Mostly it's just garage candy.

Who cares? If you've got the money, why not? :D

I guess I don't get it. It just sits in his garage and people go drool on it. I'd rather buy a plane I think.

Ferrari Enzo made the McClaren F1 its b!tch in this month's Car and Driver.

The only thing it lost in was top speed. Even beat it on price.

The McLaren has already been supplanted.
