Will there ever be a 'monopoly' declared on an e-commerce based company?

like the gov't has done prior breaking up 'ma bell' and others... will the gov't ever decide that there is an online based monopoly?

Please be more specific.

Monopoly is from a company taking up all the business and forcing others out of business via anticompetitive practices.

Online means this will never happen.

And if it does.. what's to stop that company from going overseas. The internet is not just USA based.

The US Government cannot declare Amazon-Thailand to be a monopoly.

Probably not. The very nature of the intarwebs prevents this from happening.

If you mean, though, that certain things will only ever be offered by one company...well, that's probably already the case. That kind of monopoly isn't necessarily a bad thing, though.
