Will there be enough snow to ski/snowboard on in Estes Park, CO in late October?

My husband's distant cousin recently invited us to their wedding in late October.

They will be tying the knot here, at the Stanley Hotel.

We've never met anyone from that part of his family (although my husband vaguely remembers meeting them when he was very young, maybe 9 or 10), although we are curious about what they are like.

I was wondering about the prospect of something much more intriguing - whether or not there will be enough snow on the slopes for a few days of skiing and snowboarding around that time.

Yes/no?

Eh, possible, but I don't think so. Even the best ski resorts around here, namely Ski Brule which is "first to open, last to close" don't normally open until Early-Mid November (though I seem to remember a few years back, say with unusual weather, they had a night of Halloween skiing). But even then it's like 1-2 runs and the rest is mostly bare since its almost all man-made snow. Of course, this is the U.P. of Michigan vs. mountains in Colorado. So I'm not sure if 'dem places out 'der West make the snow like they do here. :)

Anyway I don't think those areas receive snow that early, and too big to make snow like everyone does around here. But I could be totally wrong, just guessing.
