I understand the producer of the AOE I and II games left Ensemble and is working on a project called Empire Earth. It looks pretty damned cool.

ya i used to hang out in AOE forums, the general understanding is that the AOE line of games is pretty much dead. The last thing microsoft will finish, (or has finished im not sure) is getting AOE2 to support thier new little gaming thing where you can give it voice commands and stuff.

I would love to play an AOE-style game with setting on 19th century Europe (diplomacy games, hehe) or early 20th century.
