will there be any real visible difference between a half-million candlepower and a 3million candlepower hand spotlight?

I want something as powerful as the light in the center/tip of LuXoR. Speaking of which, what is the approximate power/candlepower of that light?

Well, if you have a use for one (boating at night), the high powered spotlights are very nice.

I didn't read the whole thing, but this page goes into the relationship quite a bit.

Edit: The relationship between wattage and candlepower, that is.

I have a 500,000 and either a 3 or 4 million candlepower spotlight that plug into the cigarette lighter in the car... huge difference. The 3 million beats my headlights on high beam (by a lot), but that could be because it's more focused.
