Will there be any problem with running a computer with no case?

Ok, there is a guy who wants to buy my case, but my new one doesn't come in for a week.

Can I run my computer with all the componets on anti-static bags. Ovously dust will be a bit of a problem, but I can deal with that.

personally i don't think there is a problem. look at some of the wacky case mods out there, and you can barely call some of them a 'case' per se. I took an old Intel mobo, mounted it on a peice of plywood, and installed the proc/hsf, 2 HDs, video card, etc etc. Everything is in wide open air, and it works fine (for a garage computer 🙂)

not really a problem, the pc in my lab at work is caseless for years now, still good

yep, whenever I test componets I do the same. Without case it should run fine, just a bit louder :c)

Just be careful not to step on a component or spill coffee on it.
I hope you do not have a pet. Fans can be nasty things to touch when they are spinning!

Well it might be kinda difficult getting it back into the case after you do receive it, especially if your PSU has lots of cables.
