Will there be an R520 released in AGP form?

If the PCI-express ever does come out, I don't think they planned on an AGP version. It seems like they're having enough trouble as it is so I doubt they'd worry about it. Most high end gamers use PCI-express anyways.

they should atleast push out their midrange parts if their highend is giving problems. would save their face a little.

A lot of us still use AGP...

Yeah i honestly dont see a point of throwing away a perfectly fine A64 3000+-3700+ S754 or equivalently fast S939 AGP motherboards. Not to mention P4 3.0-3.4ghz systems are not necessarily lagging. For those people it makes a lot more sense to buy a $500 videocard, than a $250 R520/G70 derived videocard + $100 mobo + $150 cpu. Also getting a new mobo/cpu + $500 videocard is pretty stiff.

Everyone who thinks you need A64 4000+ or more to push latest cards, one needs to step back and realize that all intensive games today including doom 3, far cry, bf2, FEAR (demo) are 90% graphics card limited.

CPU speed is overrated 1
Also:
Doom 3
HL2

For the most part what makes a game playable (above 50 frames) is the graphics card.
I think it's certainly a shame that nvidia is ignoring these users.
