Will there be a WinXP Server/Advanced Server?

I haven't heard anything about that, so I was wondering.

It'd be REALLY cool of MS could put out an OS that has Xp's features (hardware support, boot times etc) without all its crap (bundled messager, the themes, the new interface etc)

I'd get that for sure.

Yes there is. I believe it's going to be called Windows .NET Server.

EDIT: Here is a link to the MS product page on the beta.

interesting, but unfortunately, they don't mention anything about the UI and stuff like that.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the Luna interface will be included, but it isn't in the beta. The default will probably be the windows classic, or some professionally themed .NET Luna theme (just my personall guess). This site has some screen shots, and some words on that.

yeah so did I

It is a server OS, so I'm not really concerned too much about how pretty the interface is. My Windows 2000 Advanced Server machine that I use as a domain controller, and DNS server, just runs the default Windows classic color scheme with the blue background, like it is when you install for the first time. I do have a cool custom theme on my XP workstation though. 🙂
