So I just re-familiarized myself with just how awesome the Portal games were when I was cleaning out some old hardware and realized I had enough to build a "retro" PC (Athlon X2/compatible board/DDR2/8800GT) and even had an extra Intel 520 SSD that I slapped on there and installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise evaluation. Installed Steam and went through my library to see what games interested me that this bad boy could handle... Downloaded Portal 2 and had a blast playing it for the last couple hours.

Really hoping they bring this game back. I know the story line was pretty much finished, but hopefully Valve can think of something to bring it back. Has anyone heard anything?

There's been no word on any valve games - Half life 3, Portal 3, Left4Dead 3, Team Fortress 3, bubkis.

Imagine if all of those titles came out in the same year though. Maybe they are waiting to release them for the steam box to get massive instant adoption lol.

No idea, but I would imagine there would be. There's a ton of user made stuff for it now though, so if you're looking for more puzzles that'll help.

Dota 2 and TF2 appear to be perpetual cash machines, so why would they bother?

Valve doesn't seem to know how to count to 3.

Now that they have Steam developing games just isn't too incredibly important to them now.

It's been what...almost 5 years since they've released a game? 7 years since they released the orange box? I loved their games (With the exception of TF2...what a joke) but I won't hold my breath on any new ones anytime soon.

Oh, and in before the stupid "valve time" bs.

More like 2, CS:GO launched in 2012.

I think they're like Blizzard in the early WoW days. They're eventually going to realize that their other franchises are still very valuable, and they'll have to hire on a metric ton of new people to keep the F2P going at the same pace and reinvigorate their old IP.

I honestly don't think we'll even be that lucky until the "master race" pulls its collective head out of Gabe's butt.

They're going to switch it over to episodes to release it faster and cheaper... Portal 2: Episode 1 coming 2020 right when Half-Life 2 Episode 2 Chapter 1 comes out.
