But no, you won't really see any difference in performance going from one 5400rpm drive
to another. The higher density of the WD might give you higher benchmark numbers for
sustained transfer rate, but for msot of the uses of the computer access time is more
important, and that's where rotational speed makes up the difference.
If you are looking at a HD upgrade for a speed boost, you probably want to look at
the access time and standard work load performance of various drives. The reviews
