Will the x1950 pro really be $200?

I'm really liking the looks of the x1950 pro, however the x1950 xtx is $460 right now on preorder and it was supposed to be $400. Will the pro suffer this same fate?

EDIT: Is anyone else looking at this card? Pros, cons and thoughts appreciated!😀

The X1950XTX's MSRP was hiked to $450, I think.
Will X1950 Pro's price be jacked up? Only time will tell.

(The X1950 Pro is supposed to lie somewhere between a 7900GS and a 7950GT in performance, right? If it can do that at $200, ought to be a great deal.)

In an advertisment it said it was supposed to best the 7900gt, so probably around the performance of the 7950gt

well as of right now, thay have no stocks on newegg, zipzoomfly, or tigerdirect, they don't even have any information on them. I did however "Froogle" this item and found the lowest price to be $278 rangeing up to $299. for a card that can supposedly "best" a 7900gt at stock speeds i say is worth the extra 80 bucks, but the olny thing that will determine the actual prices of these cards is when they ar posted on newegg and zipzoomfly and tigerdirect, these being the best and most used sites for PC parts.

Supply and demand is going to determine price. They dont have to go by the MSRP. The better known online stores are known to jack up the prices based on supply and demand so its hard to say what the prices are going to be. Like mentioned above. Only time will tell.

I read somewhere that they're taking pre-orders for the AGP versions, in the UK and the price was ~ $158 UK Pounds or about $300us or $340cnd.. I'm guessing they'll be less money here, in N. America.
