That's a fairly optimistic outlook - some might say even downright utopian.

Remember, people in the mid-twentieth century said we'd have flying cars by now. Hell, computers have gotten faster but the actual interface hasn't evolved much in nearly two decades.

Technology takes long amounts of time to improve, implement, and most of all, disseminate. Technology may improve within ten years but for us to see widespread effects it will take three, four, maybe even five times as long.
