Will the WD1 from Gigabyte be SLI compatible?

I am planning to give my bro my current PC and build a good gaming PC this month. I have read about this card and even the topic about its benchmark here on this forum. I see it has the two GPU's on the one card and all but it will be bundled with an SLI board. So this sparks my question. Does it come with the SLI board just because thats the only board thats designed to run two cards at once and thats the only way for a Mobo to make use of the the WD1? Or Does it come with the SLI board because you will be able to buy another seperate and run two at the same time?

I also noticed that the MOBO comming with that board there is a Normal card option and an SLI card option, are there more boards that have this option or that an exclusive feature for just that specific board for the WD1?

Thanks in advance.

I did read that but nowhere in that post or article does it answer my questions. The article simply shows the benchmarks of just 1 of these cards being ran in the normal mode position and does no state whether it is a propitery board or not.

It does in the first couple of pages. This card only works with Gigabyte SLI board and already uses SLI for itself so you can't add any new card in the other slot.
