Will the State/Bicentenial Quarters ever be worth anything?

Im thinking maybe 50 years from now, when complete sets of State Quarters will be nearly impossible to put together, it might be worth something to have a complete set of 50, even more if you can get a complete set from a particular mint. considering each state quarter was only minted for what, 2-3 months?

Or am I just way to optimistic about my hoarding of state quarters?

and the bicentenial quarters? heh, im guessing will never be worth a damn?

While it's true each SQ is only made for 10 weeks, during that time they make enough for every man, woman and child in the country to have one (almost). It's very unlikely that they'll ever be worth money. Nevertheless, it will make a cool set of coins to have, especially if you get them at face value. They may not go up, but it didn't cost you anything either.

In mid-2000, a $10 roll of Pennsylvania quarters was worth $70 because things were crazy. Now it's back down to $15. Many people buy rolls - and bags! - to hoard. They will always be available cheaply.

The ones sold to collectors in proof sets have done well.

Yeah really. Clad sucks. You want a better investment? Get pre-1964 quarters. They are 90% silver.

Are bicentennial quarters worth more than 25 cents? I don't think so.

So far I have managed to collect all the state quarters released thus far including the first coin produced this year Michigan. I've gathered them all by sorting through my loose change before I toss it in my spare change container. I guess if I ever small change emergency, I have at least $6.50 laying around just in case. ;)
