we don't even have benchmarks....

my guess: since the majority of computer users still have agp, yea there will probably a premium though...

Methinks that if ATi comes out with an AGP version of R520, then NVIDIA will as well, but it's only speculation at this point.

Low Demand. For both the PCI-E and AGP. They speak of demand like everybody want's PCI-E. It's actually because no one want's either. According to Valve's survey, not even one half of a percent of users that play the game own a 7800GTX. Im sure they made more than 3500 cards... or there is a lot of people that hate to play HL2.

I thought the survey auto dectects your specs? I Could be wrong.

it is based on the CS:S stress test AFAIK. You have the option to send your computer specs in to steam when you run the test.

I am hoping ATI comes out with an AGP part..

Reguardless of performance ( we know it will be on par with a GTX, or very close ) I will get it..

I am looking to extend the life of my motherboard just a little bit longer, as I have nothing to gain by going to PCI-E!!!

AGP 5xx parts were on a roadmap thingy. So if plans have not changed then yes. But one has to wonder given the physical length of the boards if there is still room for a bridge chip as the PCIe models seem as long as the 4xx bridged ones already and a native AGP high-end part would seem less likely (if not for that, anyway... but I wouldn't discount a volume AGP part). In any case, don't hold your breath. But then again, the previous delay must have been due at least in part to initial development of Rialto and the scuttlebutt is that ATI has already missed out on Yuletide OEM (read: PCIe) orders so mayhaps AGP upgrades will gain more focus. So yeah, I can definitively confirm maybe.
