Will the PS3 really be out in spring 2006?

They just shipped the dev kits 2-3 months ago, can they make good launch games in 1-1.5 years? I don't think so. I think if it does come out in spring next year it will be in Japan only and have a limited lineup. But more likely I think they will delay it until holiday season 2006.

Opinions?

Edit: Even if they were working on normal hardware prior to dev kit launch they can only be so far. As to the fact the demos weren't real time.

Most of the games can be done prior .. .like graphics, in game models, etc. That's alot of the work anyways.

Yes, I agree. But they can only go so far; and only having 1-1.5 years on the hardware just seems wrong.

who cares? the ps3 is all about the ass to ass action.

seriously, who's going to have that ugly piece of siht in their house? can you seriously imagine explaining why you have a george foreman grill and two double dildos sitting around your living room? what the fcuk?

all i know is, the controller looks like something from a bad science fiction movie. how is it that a company's system designs get progressively uglier and uglier?

the PS3 might actually be relased in the US first. A first for Sony. I read that they are tryin to release it here as quick as possible due to the xbox being released so far before it. and yes, the controller looks like A$$.

Realeaseing it in the U.S. first makes sense, but if it still is only made for two players I probably won't buy it.

I think Killzone 2 is all we need in terms of gaming. That'll make us forget about everything about the PS3.

They don't, you just get older & the gaudy stuff you used to think looked cool now looks like it was designed for little kids - which of course it was.

Did anyone see the rollerball controllers? Those things look pretty sweet, and with practice would probably really enhance at least my gaming (I hate controllers - especially the joystick part). Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

no. appendages that serve only to make the controller's grip more awkward are bad design. buttons that have to be reached for are bad design. making a system compatible with an odd number players is awful design. using a font already specifically associated with another franchise is bad design.

People with smaller TV's wouldn't be able to use 7 player split screen. Why 7? Did they want more then 6 but couldn't do 8? And in my opinion if it can play 7 people very few games will use it.(Unless they made the system able to hook up to more the one TV at once. It would be cool to play with 8 people on one system, but on two TV's.)

Bluetooth 2.0 supports 8 devices per PAN, ergo (1)PS3 + (7)controllers.
