Will the PEP66 Kit on 2Cooltek.com work on a non slotket setup?

I was looking on his website and I noticed that on the page for the "Ultra PEP66 Kit w/38cfm fan" it says "NOTE: Designed specifically for socket to slot 1 adapter cards." Does this mean that it won't fit on a regular socket 370 motherboard? I was planning on getting a socket 370 motherboard for a Pentium 3 and wanted to get an Alpha heatsink. What do I need to look for?

It might work, depeding on your case adn mb, but i think its a much safer bet to get a PAL35t just so you don't risk a PEP66 not fitting.

yup, if you're using socket 370, get the pal, it's also an alpha, just on a smaller scale :)

Accually most sites I have seen the two heatsinks are practicly the same performance. Thetechzone even had the pal beating the pep. I would just get the pal if you have a socket motherboard.

PiltronX:
It does but it often will block 1 or 2 memory slots. I was using the older non fc-pga version of it for a long time before I got an orb. It blocked one dimm slot on my Abit BE6. If you are going to be using a slotket i'd get the pep, unless you plan on reusing the cooler in a future socket-only setup, in which case you might want to get the pal so that it'll work on that.
