Palomino has the same pin arrangement as Athlon-b and -c, so it will not require a different type of motherboard, just a BIOS update to take advantage of the new features of the chip.
Alot of the current Socket-A mobos will support Palomino with a BIOS update.
My ASUS A7V, for example, now supports Palomino with the 1008 BIOS....at least thats what they say. Guess we won't know 100% until the Palomino is actually released.
