Since we know Merom's a give, how about 802.11n? GMA X3000 integrated gfx chip? I know these will be implemented in Intel's next-generation Centrino platform, the "Santa Rosa", but does anyone know if this will apply to Apple?
What's the x3000 supposed to be? The replacement for the GMA950? I would like to see x1900 type graphics, 200GB HD's, support for 4GB RAM, and a 1680x1050 15.4" LCD. Perhaps ditch Firewire completely and go with dual eSATA ports (but keep the USB). 802.11n like you said would be nice. Isn't there a wireless USB standard out now too? Battery life extended to 6 hours on a single charge. The pop-out iPod is actually nice idea!
Software wise, I'd like to see better support for Windows drivers, maybe even the capability to seemlessly transition from one OS to another with each running natively (albeit one at a time). A beefier image editing suite would be great. One-click Windows networking discovery and support from within OSX is high on my wishlist too.
Although if they do this, I'll have to give up my baby. There's no way I'd pass up this new uber-laptop, although my MBP has and continues to serve me well.
