Yes. AMD will stick with socket A until the Hammer. Why bother changing it...it's not as if more pins are needed. The P4 only has 16 more. Not that that should have anything to do with it... I imagine there might be some voltage issues with some motherboards and the Thoroughbred...just like with the Tualatin.
If anything it should require less voltage (.13 micron right?). AMD doesn't really make their own chipsets, they have no reason to force a different motherboard than what's already being used. In other words: Go for it.
