Curiosity led me to log on the Aryan Nation web site today and what I learned is frightening.
I thought of them as wierdos marching around shouting heil and wearing swastikas. They have morphed.
Their new leadership (sic) has called for a drawing away from blatant racist displays and and other actions that draw attention to themselves. They are doing away with top down leadership and organizational sites. They no longer have membership forms or other methods of documented joining of the organization. All this to prevent the infiltration of the organization by police or investigative agencies from the enemies camp. They call for independent action by those who believe in their cause. They said and I loosely qoute, "No one will know where the next Timothy McVeigh may come from."
They blatantly call for violent actions. They are focusing their attention on the federal government which is a "Zionist Tool", and the greatest impediment to their establishing a White Nation run by them and independent of the rest of the country---is the Jew. There focus is to create confusion, unrest, and turmoil within the government because as long as the government is factioned and quarreling among itself it is weakened and easily overthrown. And they are to never act with hostility toward Blacks or other minorities. Their goals go beyond individual attacks.
The upshot is we cannot know who is our enemy. Those of us who are in our right minds are surrounded by closet racists and anarchists. Perhaps, that is why an earlier poster made mention of the probable increased presence of the military in civil affairs.
