Will the hd5700's get extended driver support...

...since the 6700's are going to be repackaged 5700's?

As in, if the 6700's get stuff like improved performance or bug fixes with new driver releases, will the 5700's benefit from those goods?

i don't think amd is going to abandon the 5xxx series for a good while.

I'd be more worried that the 6700's don't get proper support, if the 2 series even require separate support, as they are OEM only AFAIK.

^That would be pretty sleazy on amd's part if true ... they should either offer the proper support for a product that's advertised as part of their new series, or ditch the re branding all together.

...Meh, even if that happens, on the plus side the 6700's are probably going to launch at lower prices then the 5700's, so there's that ...

67xx's are OEM only. You won't be finding them through the retail channels
