I'm thinking of upgrading my motherboard to something dual-GPU capable probably in about a year, I still have an i5 2500k which I have no plan on upgrading. But in order to maximize my dollar and future, would I be able to get a Haswell motherboard to use with my Sandy Bridge processor? I'm assuming they will be available this time next year, has that even been confirmed?

Thanks,

Best bet is to snag a used Z77 board from the sell/trade forum

Dude honestly the best thing you can do at this point is buy a SSD . Bigger size more stuff on it. small size only OS and app. 512GB OS all apps all games all data ,,,,,,, You will get a bigger difference doing this then switching from a 2500k to a Haswell ....... BTW Haswell is not coming out any time soon for the enthusiast that is. The first Haswells are quad core. Then in 2014 Haswell E 6 core or 8 core. thx gl
