Ripped blatantly from pocket.ign.com

Will the Game Boy Advance released in Japan play US games, or vice-versa?

We won't know if there is territory lock-out on the Game Boy Advance until the system is released in all areas. But keep in mind this ? any Game Boy Color game will work in any Game Boy Color system, regardless of what country it was released in. It's a good bet that Nintendo will continue this on the Game Boy Advance.

yeah it takes 201 posts to become senior.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the GBA and even the GB color and regular GB used a different architecture from the old 8-bit NES, right? It's not as simple as the adapter to plug Master System Games into a Game Gear. (The GG was a handheld Master System - thats why that worked)
