Will the freeways be busier on the 4th or 5th of July?

I need to drive from Illinois to Ohio on either the 4th or 5th of July. Which day would likely have less traffic on the interstates?

 

Busier on the fifth. I for one, will be returning from Northern Michigan with my family on that day, and I assume many other families will be doing the same from other locations.

This past weekend, i drove from Hartford,ct to pittsburgh, pa on monday, memorial day. It was an easy drive.

I say that the actual holiday will be less crowed.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. There will be more people driving home on the 5th than driving to picnics on the 4th because people are going to get to the picnics early since it's a weekend.
