Or does anyone have any idea? I'm going to be building my gaming rig here in another 2-3 weeks...Do you think by then the E0 stepping will be out, or is it still all up in the air as to when the new stepping will be out?

Could just buy an E8600, like I just did (hee hee). Got tired of waiting. This is my last CPU upgrade for a long time.

I wish you well in breaking free from the upgrade bug. Just spare a thought for all us poor souls on ATF when you are livin' clean.

I've been on a mission to find this for the past week! Must..find...e0 8400!!!

:Q :Q please i implore you! where'd you find this! I think i'm going insane.... :( If it's from mwave, are all their cpu's like this? sighs... Amazon is having the same cpu, but no tax and free ship. arg, but i'd much rather get e0!

apparently they are easy to spot, as they come in a new smaller intel Retail packaging, with different labeling, and a different font/size on the box sticker. If you can't get a glimpse at the details, just look for the new Intel box.

Most Oems at this point are C0's from old trays being sold out to get rid of C0 stock, if you want E0, you have to go with retail 3110/e8400/e8500 in the new box (with a recent pack date SLB9K, SLB9J), or any E8600.

hehe thanks for that information. I've been hunting for the past week for this elusive box. NON of the retail stores around here (fry's nor any mom-pop) have them. I was hoping mwave or amazon will have the newer ones.

EDIT: btw, are those yours? if so, can I buy one off of you? :p
