The adapters are here. Big pic of the one I would be getting here
The top of the retail XP 1900 HSF is here

The instructions for installing the adapter here. Also say the hole to hole distance has to be 50mm, isn't that already true for any heatsink that can and is currently mounted with a 60mm fan?...

I'm worried about the screws to attach the adapter to the heatsink.

The screws supplied look like the thread is too large and I don't want to strip the holes on the heatsink.

I was thinking about using the screws from the HSF, which will definitely fit in on the heatsink, but will the top be large enough to secure the fan adapter?

I'm looking to lose some noise and keep the same cooling level with a Panaflo 80mm L1A, which should push as much air as the default fan but at a much lower volume.

Any thoughts? Anyone know for a fact? :p

I was thinking about getting the AX-7, but I'm not sure if it'll fit on the newer revison of the K7S5A (Alpha says its Alpha 8045 won't fit, so I'm leery of any fairly large HS that takes an 80mm fan).
