I know it will take up to 768 MB but not sure if it will take a 512 MB stick.

Does anyone know the answer?

Thanks.

Wouldn't that mean the biggest stick it will take is 256MB 3X 256 = 768

although that's probably the case!

Maximum is a 256MB DIMM, which is double sided and has 16 chips on it.

From a Sys Opt review:

Three 168-pin DIMM sockets supporting SDRAM, 384 MB max. (8, 16, 32, 64, 128 MB)
(Although Dan Chadwick of Tweakit on Tuesday, November 24, reported that a 256MB DIMM worked fine on the BH6. A 512MB DIMM reported itself as a 256MB (both DIMMs are PC100 SDRAM). )

I put in 256 MB PC133 memory and it only recognizes 128 MB.

??????????????

Any idea why I'm having a problem getting the board to recgnize 256 MB?

I'll try it in another board. Maybe the SIMM is mislabeled?

It's PNY memory. The manufacturer is Samsung.

I tried it it another mobo (Eupa IBBB) and it also appears as 128 MB.

BTW, what's the total memory in your BH6?
