My guess is that it should probably work, since the 9600GT seems pretty similar to the 8800GT. BTW have you purchased the video card yet? If not, then how about considering the ECS 9600GT? It is available with an S2 pre-installed for $150 at Newegg. This saves you the cost and hassle of buying it separately and installing it. I have the ECS 8800GT (with S1) and it works great! Loads around 65ºC and I didn't even use the included Turbo Module.
