Will the 6400+ BE bottleneck a SLI system?

I have a 8800 GTS and a SLI motherboard and i would like to buy a second 8800 and make a SLI system but i'm not sure if the AMD 6400+ BE will bottleneck the cards performance. I have a LCD 24 inch wide @ 1900 X 1200.

of course the system would run better with a core2 duo/quad but then again thats a much bigger upgrade and you would see an nice boost just sli-ing the system.....not sure if sli-ing is a word...ok its not :p

At 1900x1200 there are only a few games which will be limited by your CPU. You have an amazing OC on that CPU, don't worry about it. My E2180 downclocked to 2.66 ghz should be pretty equivalent to what you've got CPU wise, and it hasn't been a problem at much lower resolution.

When you can't play your games any more you'll have to upgrade to the next gen GPUs and CPUs anyway.

Of course not, people talk about the AMD gaming performance like if they're talking about Pentium 4's, of course Core 2 Duo is faster overall, but the margin difference is not much to talk about, a E2180 with half of the cache of a real Core 2 Duo, will be even slower than a AMD X2 running at 3.0Ghz.

That picture speak about CPU relative performance average, pretty accurate, not 100% though.
