will the 2011 iMac will have SATA3?

The screen will be beautiful, the CPU will be fast, the Thunderbolt port will not be used, but will it have SATA 3? Hopefully it does so we can use the latest generation SSD

I think that the 2011 MBP's hard drive is connected over SATA3, so it is a fair bet.

why the ssd connection is more like the msata that intel does - you can see it in the macbook air already. just think bigger. no need to use conventional drives pretty soon.

I think macbook *.* will turn into AIR shortly to reduce costs to build (no dvd, no serviceable hard drive) and that will drive more margin to apple. also locking you into limited choices for upgrades which is smart on their part as well. but the gain would be thinner tighter svelte 17/15 inch macbooks which would be nice.

I'd be all over a 4lb 17" 1920x1200 laptop
