Yes. They just got 500 million from gov and have Mercedes partnership and equity stake.

Next year they are introducing the Model S which is supposed to cost a sane $50-60K which I think will get them an IPO and all that goes with that. Tesla going nowhere.

FYI:
Yep is a word
Yeah is a word

Yeap is not, never has been, and never will be a word.

I only bring this up because you've made the same damn mistake at least 15000 times on this forum, and this thread doesn't really belong in OT so I don't mind crapping in it.

And while I'm on this topic, sale is a noun, sell is a verb.

now ask if i care?:hmm:

I don't care if you care. I brought the mistake to your attention. Whether you want to use real words in the proper context in the future is your choice.

It's never a mistake to educate someone, offering them an opportunity to better themselves.

Tesla will do fine. Yes the gap in production will be kind of strangle, disconcerting. but with their IPO this year and a lot of Roadster's being sold and the Sedan coming out they should be fine.

Personally I would like to see them prosper. I like the concept of fully electric cars. This should have happened YEARS ago. It's 2010, why are we still depending on a resource controlled by a country we are in war with?

And it's also good that California is supporting them so well. The only thing they need is more recharging stations along highway 5 and 99 and 101 and also faster recharging times.

i hope they do well. however, their pricing needs to come down where normal people can afford them. we're a family of 4, make low 6 figures, but wouldn't be able to afford 55k over 5 yr loan.

cananda? saudi arabia? venezuela?

hmmmm:hmm:

I think yes, I have a feeling Tesla could probably tap as much government loans as they wanted if they could prove the company was going to generate jobs and also that the product worked.
