4400 Specs

Hiya, I have a quick question I was wondering if you guys could answer. I have a agp stb velocity 4400. I'm planning on buying 700e @ 933, which would bring the agp slot to 89 mhz. How would I know if this vid card can handle the increased bus speed? thanx

The velocity 4400 was a good card for its time, but you have to remember that it was TNT based, and I think that most TNT's have a hard time getting to that speed.

Maybe if you are able to turn off a lot of the AGP speed enhancing tricks like side-banding (possibly even force AGP 1x mode if hardware supports it), you may be able to get stability but in all honesty I doubt it.

I cant talk from first-hand experience with that card, but it looks doubtful.

You could always test it before you go for the CPU. If your motherboard allows a lot of flexibility of the FSB speed, then you can always set it to 89MHz (or something close to that).

Hrm, in that case I'm looking at the hot deal in the forum for this card now ATI Radeon 32MB DDR 4X AGP Video Card, this card should be no problem, I believe, correct?
