Although I don't have a problem with my card overheating YET, I wanted to know if the standard ATI Display Driver - NOT the Catalyst Control Center - will inform me if my card gets too hot while gaming.
I don't use the Catalyst Control Center because upon startup it conflicts with a transparency app. I have for my desktop.
Since I really don't need the features of the Catalyst Control Center (especially since most recent games have all the necessary graphics options in-game) I have been using the standard Display Driver which has been working perfectly.
But I'm worried that if my card gets too hot while gaming, the standard Display Driver will not notify me or take any steps to slow it down or anything...
If someone can inform me one way or the other, I'd appreciate it very much.
