Will spamming ever become illegal?

Still doesn't work. I get a variant of the Klez virus atleast once a day from my website e-mail. I couldn't use a hotmail account for my website, otherwise I'd never be able to filter out the right emails. I've tried the KevinNOSPAM@trinium.net thing, but people are stupid and just complain that the email account doesn't work. Atleast my website is seasonal, should pick back up in April/May...

There's a federal law that prohibits unsolicited advertising through fax machines. Therefore, the legal precedent for banning spam does exist.

God, I hope so. I had to change me primary E-mail address because I was getting 20-30 spams a day! Now I get exactly 2. Don't ever respond to them because if you do they'll know they found a real person and bombard you like the U.S. is gonna bombard Iraq!

At Junkbusters.com there is a email that they advise you send to all the spammers and if they still give you mail you can supposedly sue them in court. I haven't tried it though.

I hope they would charge like a nickel for sending an email, this way the spam will stop. I get over 40 junk mail in my hotmail account everyday.

No it will never become illegal.

But we can make it so that it is very hard for spammers.
