I need help setting up my bbs. I will have to give you some of my personal info, so it will have to be someone I know/trust. Please pm me if you are willing to help.
 
as a n00bie myself, i was able to install phpbb2 and invision board (couldnt decide which i wanted to use, so i installed both). both came with very complete easy to follow instructions on how to setup the forum. havent got to customizing yet, but i'm sure that would be easy as well. 🙂
