Will set DDR3L memory speed rise up to maximum limit shorten its lifetime ?

    Will set DDR3 or DDR3L memory speed rise up to maximum limit shorten its lifetime ?
    If the memory age is 5 years old since the fabrication with normal and good usage over time till now and is to be set up to 1600 MHz max speed limit, how many more years it'll last in the future ?

    There is no way anybody can guess when your RAM will die. Most RAM comes with a lifetime warranty, so odds are you be on to a new computer, and DDR3 will be obsolete long before the RAM ever fails. RAM is rated to run constantly at its stated speed.

    I wouldn't worry about it at all. Hell, I'm still using 1.65V DDR3-1600 sticks from my Nehalem builds in various systems
    (Sandy, Ivy, FX, Phenom II), and they still past memtest86+ with flying colors.
