And when have the Democrats ever acted in a way which would cut their power and influence in order to have parties which might not be them? When have they cried out for proportional representation? When did their Congressmen and politicians not engage in cronyism?

No, they want to stack the deck against the Republican so they can control us just as much as the Republicans do. They want fair and that means their party rules.

No party will act in a way which will undercut themselves beyond window dressing.

Democrats are more for those things you say we need. Not 100%, but more than GOP. You will never get GOP to voluntarily agree to campaign limits.

We have two horror shows right here in Wisconsin who want to take a shot at the presidency...... governor Scott Walker and Rep Ryan. The rest of the nation can have 'em cuz we certainly don't need them.

Speaking only for Massachusetts here, but I see the winner of our GOP primary being Rand Paul if he decides to run.

Romney is a non-starter here. We already know him and loathe him.

I don't know anything about him so I did a search and the Young Turks had a video which I partly watched. No discussion of what he thinks, but instead they attacked his religious beliefs and that he's a Republican, utterly dismissing him as a person of any worth just as much as the most racist among us would dismiss him for being black.

Maybe he's worth looking into.

Yeah, he's ignorant and black, a perfect Republican candidate. I've watched a couple of interviews with this guy, and he comes off as more out of touch than Romney, and that's an achievement.
If you want to fulfill GWB's legacy, elect this (idiot) guy. I'd rather have Romney, at least he knows something about economics.

Dear god I hope not :(

If Rand Paul is the president it will almost fully restore my faith in the American government.

It's probably not a good idea to have faith in the American govt. And thinking one guy is going to come in and kick ass has never happened. He'll be ground up by the same corporate machine that has been around for fifty years.

This plus Santorum as VP.

The GOP won't see the inside of the White House for decades.

That is really the problem, the GOP just doesn't have any candidates that are both acceptable to the GOP powerbase and the general public. Currently it seems that a candidate can either win the Primary or the general election, but being able to win one means you are not the sort of candidate that can win the other.

If I vote for anyone it will be for more than someone's say so. What I find less than useless is how the video I watched attacked for reasons unrelated to his qualifications. That never wins me over.

He's for (or was for) the following: a flat tax, health savings accounts, He believes marriage is between a man & a woman, he believes cannabis should remain illegal and that it is a gateway drug and
Carson appeared on the Fox News program Hannity on Friday, February 8, and was asked about a possible run for the White House. Carson responded: “If the Lord grabbed me by the collar and made me do it, I would.”
So, he believes God tells him things like dubya did. Perfect candidate for the GOP...
Carson stated: “I don’t believe in evolution .... I simply don’t have enough faith to believe that something as complex as our ability to rationalize, think, and plan, and have a moral sense of what’s right and wrong, just appeared

Don't take my word for it. Do your own research. I was intrigued initially with an accomplished black Republican doctor. Then I heard some interviews and read some of his comments. He is beyond stupid.
He was raised with lots of govt help, food stamps, welfare and medical assistance.
He wants to now pull up the safety net that helped him get where he is, and denies that govt programs can be helpful.
He is the worst kind of Uncle Tom, raised on govt benefits but wants to deny them to others.
Let's get real, the only reason he is being pushed is because he is rich, black and conservative.
It is the right wing response to Obama.
Another thing I find very problematic is this would be his first public office. What is it with Republicans and unqualified candidates? Herman Cain, no public experience, Arnold, no public experience. How about showing your commitment by running for mayor of a large city, or congress, or anything. Even Obama was a Senator and even GWB was governor.

Has anyone taken pictures of Mitts garage system yet?

Would be interesting to see a future presidents home and as he spends 20 million dollars to upgrade his garage port and yet call himself the common man. #lol

Face it liberals and democrats do not want Dr Ben Carson to run as they don't want to be considered racist for not voting for him.

I'm curious, you keep bringing up his name but never have mentioned what he's for that you agree with. Which of his views do you embrace?

Ha ha, as if you know anything about liberals. Liberals like me would love Republicans to run this idiot for president, just like Herman Cain.
He would lose in a landslide to whomever the Democrats run.
You really think all of those Southern crackers are going to vote for him?
