Will retail HSF run cool w/ 1800+??

Just wondering if an 1800+ will run cool w/ the retail HSF. I have a 1.4 w/ an Akasa Silver Mountain, and it runs @ 47c (In Dallas, TX, so it's obviously hotter).

Only if you DO NOT intend to OC! If you overclock the temp will raise a little bit. However,
on your 1.4, 47C isn't bad. As of now my 1800+ is running at 1.62Ghz @ 1.76V @ 57C
idle temp. However, it goes up to 61C @ max temp. These are not good temp results. I understand
this! I have this with a 80mm OCZ fan with a ThermalRight AX-7 Heatsink. However, I am
looking into getting a better fan. Probably 80mm, but also looking into the possibility of an
120mm. Well see!

But the retail fan with an 1800+ should be okay. You will probably seeing temps in the
high 50C's. Although it should be okay! If possible to try to get a better heatsink and
cooler and experiment!
