will power DVD use an ATI card's MPEG2 decoder?

will power dvd use the MPEG2 decoder in my ATI card, or will it just do it all in software? it seems like both power dvd and the ati player use the same CPU power... but power dvd's playback is much much better. the ati player's playback is very jumpy and the controls stink...

ya u should be able to take advantage of the decoding capabilities of the ATi cards with PowerDVD. perhaps not quite ALL of them (depending on the software), but at least the same ones used for other cards (like GF2, GF3, Matrox cards, etc)..
