Will Pocket PC work as audio player in car??

My son hooks his iPod up using the casette adapter to the radio in the car so we can have non-stop tunes. It works great.Just wondering if I could do the same thing with my Toshiba 310 and not have to buy a cd player or another iPod for myself??

Great Idea!

I actually remember seeing pictures of this kind of setup somewhere...

The PDA itself was placed in a dashboard holder that stuck out just right of the steering wheel, and they were using Windows Media Player. I really like the idea of this, but for just pure music an Ipod would last longer and be more convenient.

Yes, but the audio from those things is not very high quality.

What things are you talking about? The PocketPC itself, or the audio adapter? The PocketPC itself plays absolutely great if you encode it correctly. The audio adapter is the problem, but if you have an input on the deck, you can plug it directly into that.

i have done it in my car with the e310->traditional cd player/audio cassette interface. the plug to the cd player is just the headphones out so i just plug it into my e310 headphones out.
